ECforest | notes | sinX is a composer/sound artist from tokyo. violix41: a piece for violin and computer real-time performance/sound processing using RTcmix. the violin part was composed on a algorithmic composition software developed by sinX, incorporating probability using markov chain, 1/f^2 distribution random generation, tone cluster using delay and glissando on the viloin. real-time sound processing includes comb filter, channnel vocoder, flanger and fft delay. DebA: this piece was composed in 14 voice micro polyrhythm using java, compiled on RTcmix and played back on max/msp varing the playback speed. this piece features two different versions of the same composition. ECforest this piece was compesed on java and compiled on RTcmix, strickly using fm synthesis only, using one timbre, this piece explorers variety of the complex micro tone clusters. since this piece uses such a complex clusters, it took about 6 hours to compile on a modern computer. | credits | sound by sinX
